Waning days of summer...

It's the final weekend of August - can it be? Labor Day weekend, back to school, fair time, and today's market freight load should contain the first of our Halloween goodies! The waning days of summer are upon us.

We hope you have a great holiday weekend! We're OPEN Saturday 7-7, Sunday 8-5, and Monday (Labor Day) 8-5!

Harvest time: views from the highway...

Blue skies and golden-hued fields signal harvest time on The Palouse. Around here, the views from the highway are as pretty as a picture.

August continued...

A phone cam pic out the passenger car window.
To me, this sky feels like August.

MELON-PALOOZA at the market!

Summertime is melon-time, and we're having a MELON-PALOOZA at the market!

In addition to our regular suspects Watermelon and Cantaloupe, we just got in Honey Dew, Orange Flesh Honey Dew, Casaba, Crenshaw, Santa Claus, and Canary Melons!

Now that's what I call a taste of summer! Get them while they last.

Shop till you drop: Palouse Community Yard Sale!

It's the annual Palouse Community Yard Sale TODAY! Stop by the market (or any of our Palouse businesses) to pick up a map.

And, don't forget to grab some fuel to shop till you drop: donuts, breakfast sandwiches, cold deli sandwiches, hot deli lunch, and pick-your-own-fountain-pop ice cream floats!

It's going to be a great day in Palouse!

And August begins...

August is off to a stormy start on The Palouse. Lightning and thunder played in the background of this early morning shot leaving Kamiak Butte. Rain wasn't far behind.

I love a good summer storm.
