Christmas is for sharing...

GPEA (Gar-Pal Education Association) and GPCA (Gar-Pal Classified Association) are again hosting the Sharing Tree!

Come by the market, pick up a tag, and return your unwrapped gift with tag to us by Monday, December 17th.

The kind folks of GPEA and GPCA will take it from there.

Thanks for sharing!

As easy as 1, 2, 3...

Wanna make Christmas cookies without all the measuring, mixing, and mess? This little Cookie Decorating Kit is just the answer.

I bought one. I tried it. I loved it!

As easy as 1, 2, 3...festive, frosted, sprinkle cookies, and the only thing I dirtied was a knife :)

Put the FUN back in the holidays this year by making things a little easier! Everything doesn't have to be homemade.

Three little things...

a gift from a friend...even better

This time of year, we often think of the big things we're thankful for: good health, family, that kind of thing.

But there are little things, too. Things so seemingly insignificant that perhaps it's silly to give them a shout-out, but I find it's the little things in life that often make the biggest difference in my attitude.

So, here are three 'little' things that make me smile:

A good coffee mug~
If you're not a coffee drinker, this may seem silly, But, if you are a coffee drinker, I bet I don't even have to explain. The perfect vessel—to hold what to coffee lovers is the nectar of the gods—can be elusive. It must fit in your cupped palms as if it were made exclusively for you. It must hold the heat in and warm your heart as it warms your hands (A bit too much? Agreed ;). Still, there's nothing like finding that perfect mug. Reaching for it every morning = happiness. Plain and simple.

Finding money in your pocket~
Don't you just love that?! Like pulling a rabbit from a hat, the little moment of magic that comes with nabbing a bill hiding in the depths of your pocket yields a teeny-tiny sensation of winning the lottery. You can't help but feel a little lucky when money seemingly appears out of nowhere.

Waking up and finding out you still have two more hours left to sleep~
Full disclosure - I stole that one from an old Peanuts book from when I was a kid, but even then I knew it to be true. When you wake up in the dark of night, all bleary-eyed and fuzzy, sure the harsh buzz of the alarm is mere moments away, and you finally focus your eyes to discover that not only is the alarm NOT mere moments away but you actually have time to hunker back down and pull the covers up tight – that, my friend, is priceless. The gift of time, you can't buy it with all of the money in the world and when it's unexpectedly granted, it's something to be thankful for, indeed.

Here's hoping the holiday brings a few little things to make you smile, too.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank goodness for savings!

With Black Friday just around the bend, it's nice to save a little on fixins for the BIG turkey day (prices in effect Monday through Wednesday)!

And, remember we're here Thanksgiving Day 8am to 1pm if you need us!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thank you...

To all who have served, or are currently serving...we thank you.

There are countless things to love about life in a small town

I love seeing flags lining Main Street to commemorate Veterans Day. It's just one of the many wonderful things our local Lions Club members do for this community (click HERE to see for yourself).

Thank you to our veterans, and thank you to our Lions Club.

Fleeting fall...

Fall is fleeting on The Palouse - its last hurrah heard throughout the Arb. I always hate to see fall fade, but there's something so quiet, moody, and peaceful about it that it feels near transcendental.

Don't miss the last of its magic.

Reminder: this Saturday, Nov. 10, is the annual Palouse Main Street merchants Holiday Open House. Check out the coolest shops on The Palouse and stop by the market to enter our holiday basket give-a-way! It's going to be a great day in Palouse!

Goodbye October, hellooooo November...

A mere three weeks from today is THANKSGIVING! (Whoa,I know, right?!)

We had a beautiful October on The Palouse. But as November takes center stage, I leave you with my favorite image (above) from our quaint little town of the same name. This happy pumpkin gathering outside Grammy G's Quilt Shop on Main Street made me smile every time I walked by it :)

Goodbye October - see you next year.

Now, let the holiday season BEGIN!
